Baby Citizen Program
The “Baby Citizen Program” assists current mothers and mothers-to-be who are at social or economic risk. Its objective is to ensure a healthy pregnancy and life for both mother and baby. Mothers receive information on what they can expect throughout the stages of gestation and the development of their children. The LGW has partnered with several medical professionals and schools, including Rutgers New Jersey Medical School, to provide informational workshops and services to mothers. Each family is provided with gifts of baby essential items such as diapers, clothes, wipes, baby lotion & shampoo, bottles, nursing items, formula for the mothers who cannot breastfeed, and informational pamphlets on baby milestones.
